Hello friends,
welcome to another edition of The Weekend Bite™ Online. Despite the rain and shedding
of leaves we may see this autumn, it's great to know that in another couple of
months, another season will come for the trees and flowers to bloom again.
Every autumn has a spring; every dark night has a dawn. This one is called
#RiseUp
#RiseUp
signifies to get up, jump to your feet, stand or spring up. It simply means to
get back on your feet. For there to be a need for you to rise up, you must have
been down, sleeping, knocked out or downtrodden.
So many
situations can lead to a downfall, failure or difficulty. Things may not have
worked as well as you hoped; your investment may have gone down the drain. Your
plans may have turned out unsuccessful and you may be faced by a period of
unfathomable delays. Anyone can fall, anyone can be lying face to the ground.
The key point here is whether you choose to remain perpetually in this place or you choose to rise up.
"Don’t you know that
this good man, though you trip him up seven times, will each time rise again?
But one calamity is enough to lay you low." Proverbs 24:16 TLB
This text conveys a lot of meaning. One calamity, mishap or unwanted situation is enough to knock us out and make us give up the
will to get up and try again. One lie that we hear somewhere in our minds is
that that particular problem is peculiar to us or is a result of our inherent
incapability. The only way we won't become subject to or defined by our
situations is if we do not allow them to hold us back, no matter how strong
they might be. Thus, a good man knows that
though he may fall, seven times or more, he still has to rise up and try again.
You may have unsuccessfully applied for countless jobs or flunked a
test or exam; you may be experiencing an unprecedented delay in a key area of
your life. Whatever the case may be,
don't let it hold you down. Don't give up your self-confidence and personal resolve
to improve and succeed. If you give up, that problem has succeeded and not you.
No matter what
situation you are facing; be encouraged! Resist the
temptation to give up or give in to depression. This has led to many suicides
in the past and people not living up to their true potential.
Failure is not your end but your beginning. It's an opportunity to improve on your
mistakes, to try again and to succeed. Don't let it knock you out; keep rising, keep trying until you succeed!
This is not the
end of the line for you. Don't give up, don't stay down; just rise up!
"Rise
up; become who you're meant to be
Shake off depression; set yourself free
You can
achieve all that you can see
Rise up;
take charge of your destiny" - LAW AFOLABI
Cheers!
